Our Engagement in the Formula Student.

The Formula Student is going on to the next round: After a successfully completed Formula Student Season 2016/2017, the teams have to get back to work. The goal is to construct a race car within just a few months which will win over the jury at the Formula Student Challenge in the coming year. This isn‘t just about outdoing the competition by constructing the fastest cars, rather much more so about evaluating the complete aspects regarding aerodynamic, drive, chassis, underbody and design of the vehicles. The demands placed on the young students are high and cannot be handled with college knowledge alone. This is where we come in.

Our Mission: Preparation for the coming season

Together with our sister enterprise Bosch Engineering, we could welcome the 70 Formula Student participants on 25 November at their head office in Abstatt. Five workshops for a total of 11 teams from across Germany were lead on a tour so that the engaged students could further their technical knowledge. Next to the economic tax workshop, the areas EMV and high voltage, cable tree, CAN and the ITK-lead workshop on model-based software development were also on the program. Using the example of a traction control, our colleagues Dominic, Stefan and Christoph demonstrated the model-based process in the development stage and the test of steering device functions to the students for the whole day. Along with the exciting lectures, the participants could exchange tips and tricks of the trade over a group lunch and during short networking breaks.
