ITK beim Formula Student Boxberg Event.

27 teams, four nations and a common goal!

So what is it? The Formula Student Germany competition! True to the motto, “train hard and never give up on your dream”, the student teams have been at the construction of their race cars now for a year.

At the Bosch test track in Boxberg they took the opportunity to have their self-constructed race cars inspected before the real deal in Hockenheim. This is because in collaboration with our Bosch, Bosch Engineering and ETAS colleagues, we have simulated the entire competition according to real conditions: the cars had to pass the technical approval tests before the track tests started – whether with petrol smell and a barking engine, electric or even completely driverless. Among the teams, all three categories were represented; as well, the first driving attempts were started on the separate driverless track!

An all-around successful event with around 270 students and 40 ITK and Bosch colleagues! All we have left to say: “Good luck” and we’ll be keep our fingers crossed for the upcoming competition at Hockenheim (6-12 August)!
